A few things Black people are serious about:
- Don't put your purse on the floor
- Playing Spades
- Bringing vetted mac and cheese or potato salad to the cookout.
- Washing raw meat before cooking
- Kids NOT calling adults by their first name
- Kids staying out of grown folks business
- Not being your kid's little friend
- Not touching a Black woman's hair
- About a recently deceased person, "Who did the body?"
- Turn off/ unplug electronics, stay away from water, and be quiet during a thunderstorm.
- Not sitting on the furniture in the formal living room of grandma's house
- Don't split the pole.
- People who enter an establishment after you being served before you.
